Catherine Cato

Mrs. Catherine Cato, 87, of Aiken, died Saturday, July 28, 2012 at her residence. Services will be private and will include her being interred in her native Scotland. GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, Aiken is assisting the Cato family.

A daughter of the late Gavin James and Janet Howitt James, she was born in Renton, Scotland and came to the United States during the late 1950's and settled in Bloomfield, NJ, where she lived until coming to Aiken in 1989. She had been retired from the Westinghouse, Light bulb manufacturing facility in Bloomfield.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by her husband, Howard Cato, Aiken; a step-daughter, Sharon Wilson, Aiken; two step-sons, Alan Howard Cato, Gloverville and Howard David Cato, Weaversville, NC and a niece, Sandra Rainey, Renton Scotland, GB. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
