Charles Lenox Green

Charles L. Green, 93, entered into rest July 25, 2009. Charles was born in Rutherford County, North Carolina on March 4, 1916. Charles retired from the Panama, Canal Zone Police force in 1967 were he spent 26 years working for the federal government. After retirement he settled in Aiken, S.C. He went to work for Lee's Department Store as a store detective for several years, and BI-LO as store front manager for another ten years. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Nora F. Green; three brothers, and two sisters. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Thomas and Virginia Machak of North Augusta, SC. A son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Roxanne Green of Kalamazoo, MI. Granddaughter, Shelby J. Arrowood of Gaffney, SC. Respecting his last wished, he will be interred in a closed private ceremony at Calvary Cemetery, Aiken, SC.
