Charles Richard Whitehurst

Entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 6, 2009, Mr. Charles Richard Whitehurst, 85, beloved husband of Mrs. Lucille Carter Whitehurst. Mr. Whitehurst was born in Columbus, OH and resided much of his life in Tucson, AZ. He was a public accountant owning and operating Progressive Tax Service for 25 years. Mr. Whitehurst was an active member of the Uptown Optimist Club of Tucson, AZ for 36 years and served as president from 1985-86. Mr. Whitehurst was a veteran of WWII, having served in the U.S. Navy.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Whitehurst is survived by one son, Charles Eileen Whitehurst of Aiken; one daughter, Susan Gudas of Tucson, AZ; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held in Tucson, AZ at the East Lawn Palms Mortuary.
