Clarence Albert Thomas, Jr., age 78, passed away on July 21, 2025, in Augusta, Georgia. Born on January 16, 1947, in the same city he called home throughout his life, Clarence brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. A proud graduate of Central High School in Newark New Jersey, Clarence carried with him a vibrant spirit and a deep love for life. He was known for his infectious energy and warm personality—traits that made him a beloved figure in his community. Whether through dancing, singing, or playing cards, Clarence had a unique way of bringing people together. His sociable nature and sense of humor left lasting impressions on everyone he met. He was affectionately known as “everyone’s dad,” always ready with a joke or a dance move to brighten someone’s day. Clarence’s legacy lives on through his loving family. He is survived by his devoted daughter Remille (Eric) Ables; three grandsons: Dante Williams, John Cratic Jr., and Jemel Cratic; and five great-grandchildren who brought immense pride and joy. He also leaves behind one Aunt of Newark, New Jersey one Uncle of Bloomfield New Jersey and a brother-sister relation with Christine (Eugene) Owens and Remille Willaims, both first cousins, along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will all miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father Clarence Thomas Sr., mother Freager Williams-Thomas, and two brothers Nathaniel Williams and Dennis Thomas. Clarence’s life was a celebration of joy. His memory will continue to inspire laughter and love among those fortunate enough to have known him. A Visitation will be held on August 2, 2025, from 02:00 PM to 03:30 PM at The Historic George Funeral and Cremation 211 Park Ave SW Aiken, Sc. 29801. A repass will follow at the home of Remille Ables.
