Cleveland Julius Taylor Jr.

Cleveland J. Taylor, Jr., 95, of Gilbert, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025. Born in Gilbert, SC, he was a son of the late Cleveland and Julia Leaphart Taylor. He was a United States Navy veteran and a member of Cedar Grove Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his grandson, Cody J. Taylor (Ashley); and 3 great-grandchildren, Anderson "Ryder," Hazel Grace, and Maverick Julius Taylor. Also surviving are his nephews, Don Johnson (Marlene) and Mike Johnson (Lori); along with numerous extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cloe Hall Taylor; and his son, Ronald E. Taylor.

A graveside service for Mr. Taylor will be held at 2 o'clock on Thursday, January 9th in Cedar Grove Lutheran Church Cemetery with Rev. Mark Sanders officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly ask that memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
