Connie Gulledge Jordan, 73, of Leesville, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Saluda, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Colie L. and Ella Ruth Gulledge. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Larry Jordan.
Connie was well known throughout the Batesburg-Leesville community as the owner of Connie’s Place, where she became famous for serving some of the area's best burgers. After many successful years, she chose to close the restaurant to spend more time with her family, whom she cherished above all else. A devoted mother and grandmother, Connie loved creating special memories with her family. She especially loved visiting state parks and the mountains with her grandchildren, making every trip an adventure. Her beloved “grandfur babies” brought her immense joy, and she never missed an opportunity to spoil them with treats and affection.
She was a faithful member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Gilbert. She also enjoyed spending time at the Gilbert-Summit Senior Center, where she formed many fine friendships and participated in activities she loved such as playing pool and participating in the Senior Olympics.
Connie is survived by her children, Kristie Harrell (Tim), Krystle Hallman (Nick), and Gary Stone (Lori); grandchildren, Morgan Hallman Jr, Wyatt Hallman, and Addie Harrell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Kenneth Gulledge, Terry Gulledge, Curly Gulledge and Sandra Alveshire.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gilbert-Summit Senior Center in Memory of Connie Jordan, 409 Broad Street, Gilbert, SC 29054.
The family will honor Connie’s life privately and no formal services are planned at this time. Milton Shealy Funeral Home, Batesburg-Leesville Chapel, is assisting the family.
