Cora Virginia Richardson Rauton

Funeral services for Cora Virginia Richardson Rauton, 86, of Aiken, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Unity Holiness Church under the care of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rauton, widow of Lonnie Richardson and James Rauton, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. Born in Aiken, she was a daughter of the late Ferrell and Lottie Barton Ashely. She was a lifetime area resident and was loved by all. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Aubrn, Walter, Berry, Larry and C.J. Ashley, a sister, Eva Edge, Daughters, Linda Richardson and Janet Marie Rauton; grandchildren, Beverly and Bryce and great-grandchildren, Lee and Cameron.

Survivors include her daughters, Ann McGee of Cross and Patti Herron of Aiken; sons, Marion "Sammy" Richardson of Barnwell and Jimmy Rauton of Ridge Springs; a sister, Mary Sharpe of Aiken, 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
