Cordelia Ann Ferrell

A memorial service for Cordelia "Corky" Ferrell, will be held on Friday, February 26, 2010 at 4pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc. 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken, SC. The family will receive friends from 3pm until the time of the service. Memorial donations may be directed to the Aiken County SPCA, 109 Park Ave. SE, Aiken, SC 29801.

Ms. Ferrell, 55, of Aiken, died Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

A life long resident of Aiken County, she was the daughter of Romie F. Ferrell, Jr. and Cora Alice Paxton Ferrell. She had worked as a bookkeeper for Lominick's Pharmacy and more recently at Ingate Professional Pharmacy. She will be remembered for being a loving daughter, sister and aunt. She enjoyed going to the beach, writing, crocheting and general arts and crafts. She was especially fond of working with homeless animals and helped out at the Aiken SPCA shelter. She attended Lakeside Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sisters, Connie Ferrell, Aiken and Becky Johnson, Aiken; a brother, Doug Jan Ferrell, Aiken; three nieces, Beth Ferrell, Aiken, Samantha Johnson, Aiken and Michelle Johnson, Aiken; a nephew, Michael Stephanie Ferrell, Iraq and a great nephew, Colton Ferrell, Beech Island, SC. She is also survived by many special friends.
