Cornelius L. Washington

Cornelius L. Washington, 51, of Lexington, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026. Born in Richland County, SC, he was the son of Osaze Bey (Philip Pittman) and the late Josie Bell Washington.

Cornelius was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather who cherished his family above all else. He was a hardworking and dedicated man who took great pride in providing for those he loved. His love for his family and his determination to always do his best for them were a true reflection of the man he was. Cornelius will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his caring heart, and the love he shared with those closest to him.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Tonya Washington; children, Cornesha Washington and her son, Hezekiah, Cornelius Washington, Jr., Victor Washington, and Tyler Washington; stepchildren, Zavian Snow, Jazlyn Snow, and Isiah Snow; siblings, Lisa Washington, and her daughter, Josie. and Philnesha Crawford (Marcus).

A celebration of Iife for Cornelius will be held at 12:00 PM on Sunday, October 25th at Praise Church with Pastor Tom Mims officiating.
