Danny Oral Proffitt

Danny Oral Proffitt, 78, of Pelion, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 17, 2024. Born in Glasgow, KY, he was the son of the late Oral Thomas Proffitt and Iva Lou Emberton Proffitt. Mr. Proffitt was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Shaw Proffitt; three children, Danny Neal Proffitt (Lori), Patrick Proffitt, and Brian Shaw Proffitt (April). Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Timothy Eckinger; and sisters, Barbara Geralds and Lorene Frodge.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
