David Storey

William David Storey, 68, of Batesburg passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 10, 2021. Born in Prosperity, SC, he was a son of the late John William Storey and Edna Smith Storey. He was a hard worker who was known to give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. David worked for Oswald Lumber for over 30 years driving trucks. He was a loving, husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be missed by many.

David is survived by his wife of 17 years, L. Kaye Storey; children, Kayla Jordan (Ray) and Furman Waters (Trissy); grandchildren, Jordan, Jaylyn, Nick, Wayne and Chandler. He is also survived by brothers, Calvin Storey (Barbara), JC Storey, Carl Storey, Larry Storey (Minnie), George Storey (Sherry); and a sister, Carolyn Storey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Storey.

The service for Mr. Storey will be held at 4 o'clock on Monday, September 13, 2021 at the Storey Home Place, 7046 Two Notch Road, Batesburg with Pastor Dennis Lear officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5 until 7 pm at the funeral home.
