Donald Emery Woodward

A visitation for Mr. Donald Emery Woodward will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 from 5-7pm at Jones-Rich-Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodfords St. Portland, ME. George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Aiken, SC is assisting the family.

Mr. Woodward, 59, of Portland died Thursday, June 11, 2009 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, Aiken, SC will visiting his daughter.

Born in Taunton, MA, he was the son of John E. Woodward and the late Mary Jayne Jewett Woodward. He lived in Portland most of his life. He had attended Bowdoin College, where he had been a member of Alpha Delta Fraternity. He also had attended RISD, Rhode Island School of Design. He received his B.S. degree in education from the Univ. of Southern Maine and earned his Masters of Education degree at the University of New England. He was the Department head of the Multimedia Department at the Southern Maine Community College.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his daughters, Meghan Jeff Humphries, Aiken, SC, Silver Bear Shea, Portland, brothers; Dr. Jeffrey Woodward and Dr. John Woodward and had been formerly married to Mary Craven. He was also survived by a family friend, Joan Dow.
