Donna Ellen Zachary

Donna Ellen Zachary, 69, of Saluda, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023. Mrs. Zachary was born in Oak Hill, West Virginia to the late Hobert and Vida Frances Perry Crookshanks. Donna, who was known to many as the nicest lady in Batesburg, was the door greeter for more than 10 years at the Batesburg Walmart. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her. Mrs. Zachary was of the Baptist faith and was a former member of Ridge Spring Baptist Church.

Surviving are her sons, Bert Zachary and James Crumpley; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren; a sister, Louise Cutlip; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Zachary was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Zachary; son, Billy Zachary; brothers and sister, Darel, Roy, Gary, Daniel, and Joetta.

A graveside service for Mrs. Donna will be held at 2 P.M. on Tuesday, December 5th, at Ridge Spring Cemetery with Rev. Thomas Dorsey officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 P.M. on Monday, December 4th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home.
