Doris Boswell

Funeral services for Mrs. Doris "June" Boswell will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 11am at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave, SW, Aiken with Dr. Fred Andrea officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 from 6-8pm.

Mrs. Boswell, 81, of Aiken, died Saturday, June 12, 2010 on her fifty seventh wedding anniversary at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Born in Livermore, KY, she was the daughter of the late Archie A. and Ora Louise Miller Allen. She moved to Aiken in 1954 from Louisville, KY. June graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and was a member and president of the Kappa Delta sorority. She worked at Savannah River Site for four years. June was a member of several local garden clubs, Ikebana International, and a former member of Aiken Community Concert. She loved flower arranging.

She is survived by her husband of fifty seven years, James "Jim" Boswell, sons, Jamie Kathy Boswell, Milton Denise Boswell, both of Beaufort, SC; grandchildren, Ben Boswell, Kristie Boswell, Amanda Boswell, and Addison Boswell.
