Mrs. Doris Irene Cunningham, 85, of New Ellenton, died Sunday, April 1, 2012, after a sudden illness. Funeral services will be 5:00 PM Wednesday April 4, 2012, at First Christian Church, Aiken, with Rev. Keith Ussery officiating, burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Pallbearers will be Sammy Johnson, Michael Franklin, Kenny Franklin, Woody Malone, Don Pru, Ron Maury.

Mrs. Cunningham was born in Bells, Texas, a daughter of the late Claude and Saphronia Houston Reynolds. She was a member of First Christian Church of Aiken and was a nurse.

Survivors include, her husband, James W. Cunningham of the home; sons, David Cunningham of Columbia, Michael Cunningham of Jackson and Pat Cunningham of New Ellenton; 2 sisters, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
