Dwight Oneal Clark

Dwight Oneal Clark, 73, of Leesville, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025. Born in Batesburg, SC, he was a son of the late Jack and Ophelia Blackwell Clark. Dwight was the proud owner of Newberry Vacuum and Sewing Center from 1982 until his retirement in 2001. Later, he continued working as a freight manager with Dollar Tree. He especially enjoyed spending time with his beloved dog, Elvis, and relaxing with his favorite old western movies.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Sandy Clark; son, Jamie Clark (Crystal); and grandchildren, Alec Clark, Amber Dean (Dustin), Cassie Roof (John), Chance Hunter, Madison Moore (Aryn), Evan Clark (Cyan), Megan Clark, and Caden Clark. He also leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren and his brother, Harry Rankin (Donna). In addition to his parents, Dwight was preceded in death by children, John Clark and Cheryl Lynn Clark, as well as siblings, Donald Wayne Bodie and Jacqueline Sue McCormick.

A funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock on Thursday, August 7th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, with Rev. Joseph Hallman officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 1 o’clock at the funeral home.
