Elizabeth D. Smith

Elizabeth Dianne Smith, 72, of Gilbert, SC passed away on April 20, 2024, surrounded by her children. Ms. Smith was born in Augusta, GA to the late Dewey Grubbs and Elizabeth Slater. Ms. Smith loved planting flowers, reading, and spending time with family. She worked for over 20 years at the Town & Country in Gilbert.

Surviving are her son, Jake (Shon) Smith; her daughter, Angelique (Rodney) McCaw; as well as her grandchildren, Sianna & Elaina Smith, Berkeley (Bridgette) Redick and Savannah Craig; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Redick, Mason Redick, BreLeigh Addy, Lilly Watson, McKenna Stewart, Ryland and Alex Redick, and Presley Redick. She is also survived by her brother, Gerald (Maxine) Grubbs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, William Anthony Redick.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family will be accepting flowers in remembrance of Ms. Smith’s love for flowers or memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research or the American Heart Association.
