Ellen Pattis

Ms. Ellen Pattis, 63, of Aiken, SC, died suddenly, Monday, October 18, 2004 at her home. At her request Ellen will be cremated and no services will be held.

Her mother, Catherine Verenes Pattis, Belvedere, SC; sister, Joanna Massey, Silver Spring, MD and a host of indebted friends and family survive Ellen.

Ellen gave selflessly to all that were in need physically, mentally, and financially. In her life she perfected the art of true love and acceptance of others. She made maximum impact on minimum acquaintance. All that knew her were privileged by her presence in our lives. Her life a celebration of overcoming all handicaps and unwavering faith in others. Her greatest words were that we live in a world of givers and takers; unfortunately, the takers out number us. She will be greatly missed. It has been requested that memorials in her memory be made to a nursing facility that she helped establish and supported, God?s Haven of Rest, 516 Clearwater Rd., Belvedere, SC 29841.
