Leesville

Eric Brent Wallace, 64, of Leesville, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. Born in Stephens County, Georgia, he was a son of Laura Frances Halford Wallace and the late Bobby Frank Wallace.

Eric was a devoted family man and avid outdoorsman who found great joy in the people and things he loved most. He attended Batesburg-Leesville High School and later continued his education at Aiken Technical College. Eric dedicated 33 years of his career to Michelin Tire, where he worked hard and formed many friendships along the way. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and loved spending his time outdoors, whether he was hunting, fishing, or working in his yard. His passion for the outdoors was also reflected in his involvement with Ducks Unlimited, where he formerly served as president.

Eric had a special place in his heart for animals, especially his beloved granddogs. Above all, his family was at the center of his life. When his sons were growing up, Eric was actively involved in their Little League programs, serving as a coach and never missing a game. He was always there to support and encourage them, and he treasured being a part of the moments that mattered most. Whether he was coaching from the sidelines, enjoying a day outdoors, or simply spending time with those closest to him, Eric was happiest surrounded by the people he loved.

In addition to his mother, Eric is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sherry Boozer Wallace; sons, Kevin Wallace, Corey Wallace (fiancée, Beth), and Jarad Wallace.  He is also survived by his siblings, Toni Daves (Alex) and Robert Wallace (Dora); nephews and niece, Collen Wallace (Julianna), Zachary Wallace (Dani), Meghan Daves, and Harrison Daves (Amanda); along with numerous great nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Edith Wallace and Colonel and Elsie Halford.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Eric will be held at 4 o'clock on Wednesday, August 26th at Faith Lutheran Church with Pastor Lisa Isenhower officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church, beginning at 3 o'clock. Milton Shealy Funeral Home, Batesburg-Leesville Chapel, is serving the Wallace Family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials maybe made to Faith Lutheran Church, 113 N. Oak Street, Batesburg, SC 29006 or Alzhemiers Association, Alzheimer's Association , in Eric's Memory.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Lexington Medical Center and MSA Hospice for the compassionate care, love, and support shown to Eric and his family.
