Faye L. Smith

Faye L. Smith, 80, of Leesville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. Born in Moncks Corner, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Arnold and Olene Owens Lawhorn. She was the beloved wife of the late Travis Woodrow Smith.

Faye had a deep love for sewing and gardening, always finding joy in creating and nurturing beauty around her. Later in life, when she became ill, she found comfort in coloring and crafts, showcasing a remarkable talent for matching colors with an artist’s eye.

She is survived by her children, Gina Nolasco (Rich), Tina Rawls (Martin), and Dina Smith; stepdaughter, Shearon Smith; grandchildren, Richard Nolasco, Jr. (Chelsie), Jessica Nolasco White (Michael), Travis Rawls, Stephanie McLemore (Brandon), Kristen Hook (Ricky), Matthew Rawls (Angel), Martina Rawls, Skylar Rawls, Rachel Rawls, Kayla Harris, and Lizzi Miller. She also leaves behind step-grandchildren, Connie Nolasco, April Flangan, Karen Nolasco, Glenn Smith, Lynn Smith, and Amanda Smith; along with numerous great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Faye is also survived by her sister, Rebecca Corder (Joe); brothers, Jessie Lawhorn (Paige), and Leslie Lawhorn; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rina Kay Smith; and brother, Charlie Lawhorn.

Per Faye’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
