Gladwyn Hartley Forrest

Mr. Gladwyn Hartley Forrest, 77, of Brandon, FL and Aiken, SC, entered into rest February 24, 2007 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Born in Messicks, VA on July 28, 1929, he was the only child of the late Juanita Clay Barnette Forrest Levan and was raised by her and his late stepfather, Russell Levan Van. He retired from the Air Force after twenty three years of service as a Technical Sergeant, and the Hillsboro County, FL Sheriff's Department as a Deputy Sheriff after sixteen years of service. Mr. Forrest also received a Bachelor's degree in Criminology from St. Leo College in St. Leo, FL.

Mr. Forrest is survived by his wife, Patsy Broughton Bickely Forrest, son, Russell Tara Forrest, daughter, Annita Andy Anderson, both of Brandon, FL, stepchildren, Charles E. Mary Bickley, Kevin Jennifer Bickley, Jacqui Bickley David Winters, grandchildren, Zachary Forrest, Brandt Forrest, Travis Forrest, step grandchildren, Henry Winters, Luther Winters, and Charlotte Bickley.

Memorial services for Mr. Forrest will be held at 11am at St Paul Lutheran Church. George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Avenue, SW, Aiken is assisting the family. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Broughton Scholarship Fund, c/o St Paul Lutheran Church, 961 Trail Ridge Road, Aiken, SC, 29803.
