Glenn Edward Swygert

Glenn Edward Swygert, 74, of Gilbert, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 15th, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 18th at Beulah United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tony Rowell officiating.

Mr. Swygert was born in Gilbert, SC, a son of the late Albert F. and Vera Shealy Swygert. He was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church. Mr. Swygert retired from Kennan Transport where he worked as a truck driver.

Surviving are his wife, Janet McClard Swygert; daughters and son-in-law, Jody Swygert (Colie Bradwell), Tonya Smith; grandchildren, Alexis and Bailey Ricard, Keeley and Damon Smith; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy (Marie) Swygert; sister and brother-in-law, Rose (Clyde) Waters; step daughter, Cheryl Baker; step granddaughter, Michelle (Gokay) Kalpakci; three step great grandchildren; and beloved fur-baby, Bobo. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Javis and Charles Swygert.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beulah United Methodist Church.
