Glenn D. Wheeler, 67, of Batesburg, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born to the late James and Brenda Wheeler, Mr. Wheeler lived a life centered on faith, family, and hard work. He was a faithful member of Mt. Ebal Baptist Church and was known for his kind spirit and love for those around him. Glenn worked for many years at JB Martin and took great pride in providing for his family.
In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and especially loved watching drag racing. Most of all, he treasured the time spent with his family and friends.
Surviving are his loving wife, Sandra Turner Wheeler; sons, Glenn E. Wheeler (Hope) and Thomas Wheeler; grandson, Tyler Matthews; great-grandchildren, Bently, Emma, and Alanna Matthews. He is also survived by his sister, Cindy Waters (Lewis); and nephews, Jake Waters and Hunter Waters.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Wheeler will be conducted at 2 o'clock on Friday, May 15th, at Mt. Ebal Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Paulling officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1until 2 o'clock at the church. Milton Shealy Funeral Home, Batesburg-Leesville Chapel, is assisting the family.
