Gloria Evans Johnson, 69, of Saluda passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025, in her home. Born on November 13, 1955, she was a daughter of the late Davis Odell and Mary Lou Clark Harmon. Gloria made a significant impact in her work as a cashier, where she was known for her warm smile and kind heart. She was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her and enjoyed watching westerns and shooting pool with friends. Gloria devoted her life to her family and community. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Patricia Evans Holbert, and her son, James Evans; her grandchildren, Nicole Davis, Cameron Chavis (Emily), Brycen Holbert, and Noah Evans; as well as her great-grandchildren, Kyla, Arianna, Carleigh, and Cameron Jr. She is also survived by her sister, Margert Hartley, and her brother, Larry Harmon (Brenda). Gloria now joins her husband, Wade Johnson, her daughter, Kayla Johnson, her great-granddaughter, Choleigh, and her brother, Elmer Jerome Harmon, in eternal rest.
A graveside service to honor Gloria's life will be held at 2 o'clock on Friday, April 18th at Travis Park Cemetery with Rev. Burton Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5 until 7 o'clock at Milton Shealy Funeral Home.
