Helen Ward Hallman

Helen Ward Hallman, 93, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024. Mrs. Hallman was born in Batesburg, a daughter of the late Harmon Edward Ward and Ethel Eidson Ward. She retired from Stone Manufacturing and Shealy's Bar-B-Que. Mrs. Hallman was an active member of First Baptist Church of Leesville and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She enjoyed working in her yard, quilting, and word search puzzles.

Surviving are her children, Alan Harmon (Ginger) and Karen Addy (Joe); son-in-law, Carlton Clary; along with her 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Millie Perdue. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Harmon; daughter, Angela Clary; and sisters, Miriam Quattlebaum (Gerald) and Madge Hallman (Billy).

The funeral service for Mrs. Hallman will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 1st, at First Baptist Church of Leesville with burial following in Ridge Spring Cemetery. The Rev. Charles Leonhardt and Rev. John Steele will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be the Willing Workers Sunday School Class and Caregivers. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, February 29th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Alan and Ginger Harmon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Leesville Music Fund, 264 East Main Street, Leesville, SC 29070.
