Helen Avon Mayberry

Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Avon Mayberry will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 1pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Avenue, SW, Aiken with Pastor Lonnie Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 12, 2007 from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Mayberry, 89, of Aiken, died Friday, February 9, 2007 at Pepper Hill Rehab and Nursing Center.

Born in Burkburnett, TX, she was the daughter of the late Milton Eugene and Lura Osborne Hoffman. Mrs. Mayberry had lived in Tiffin, OH, Fort Wayne, IN, and Phoenix, AZ before moving to Aiken in 1996. She was a care giver, loving mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Carl Mayberry, daughter, Sharon Bear Pagano, brothers, Bill Hoffman, Robert Hoffman, Richard Hoffman, Milton Eugene Hoffman, Jr., sister, Alberta Hoffman. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Eugene Kolkman, Aiken, son, Jerry Wayne Ann Fenstermaker, Jonesboro, AK, sister, Nita Minard, Phoenix, AZ, eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great- great grandchild.
