Howard K. Raines Sr.

Howard K. Raines, Sr., 89, of Leesville, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024. Born in Old Hickory, TN, he was a son of the late Leon Raines and Minnie Paul Price. Mr. Raines, a lifelong Roman Catholic, was an avid fisherman who loved his family, alongside his devout Christian beliefs.

He is survived by his children, H. Kelley Raines, Jr. (Deborah), Clendon P. Raines (Pamela), Paula R. Hull, and David T. Raines (Gina); 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Ann Marie Raines; sister, Francis Ward; and a brother, Joe Paul Raines.

The graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, April 8th, at Bonne Rest Cemetery, 320 S. Main Street, Ridgeville, SC 29472. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M., on Sunday, April 7th, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home.
