Ida Adkinson Key

Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Adkinson Key will be held on Friday, February 9, 2007 at 2pm at Hollow Creek Baptist Church with Revs. Roy Morgan and Henry Chenault officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, from 6-8pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken. The family will also receive friends at the home of Nettie Brown. Memorial donations may be directed to the Hollow Creek Baptist Church Building Fund 270 Independent Blvd. Aiken, SC 29803.

Mrs. Key, 86, of New Ellenton, died February 6, 2007 at her residence. A daughter of the late Issac and Ida Lowe Adkinson, she was a life long resident of Aiken County. She was retired from the Aiken County School System, where she had been a cook for many years. Mrs. Key was also a member of Hollow Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband, David Key, Jr., and two sons, Bobby Key and Fred Pierce Key. She is survived by two sons, Billy Allen Key, Aiken and Ted Key, New Ellenton; a daughter, Nettie Brown, New Ellenton, eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
