James Edwin "Eddie" Whitman

James Edwin “Eddie” Whitman, 57, of Leesville, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 5 at Ebenezer Southern Methodist Church with Rev. John Hood and Rev. Nels Ledwel officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church, other times at the home of his mother. Honorary pallbearers will be Clay Burkett, Edward Smith, Phillip Motes, Jimmy Banks, Tracy Waters and Kenny Clamp.

Mr. Whitman was born in Richland County, son of Grover E. “Jack” Whitman and Doris E. Waters. He retired from Michelin Tire. Mr. Whitman enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his girlfriend, Gail Vaughan; and son, Brandon Edwin (Kristen) Whitman. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilbur and Hattie Waters and Neita Connelly and Whit Whitman.
