James Hallman Jr.

James A. "Jim" Hallman Jr., 76, of Leesville, passed away peacefully Friday, February 10, 2023. He was the son of the late James A. Hallman Sr. and Ila Belle Gunter Hallman. Mr. Hallman proudly served 6 years in the US Navy. Mr. Hallman retired from Blanchard Machinery with 41 years of dedicated service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years Mary F. Hallman, and his brother, David Hallman. Mr. Hallman enjoyed working in his shop, hunting, riding his golf cart, and being the best PePaw to his grandchildren.

Surviving are his son, Scott Hallman (Michelle); daughter, Vangee Nunn (Anthony); grandchildren Garrett, Brandon, Brenna and Josh. Also surviving are his sister, Mary Linda Corley (Zane); brother, Mike Hallman (Pam); and sister-in-law, Cindy Hallman.

A memorial service for Mr. Hallman will be held at 4:00 p.m., on Monday, February 13th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home with military honors. The Rev. Mike McCormick will officiate. The family will greet friends immediately following the service in the chapel. Burial will be private in Ridge Crest Memorial Park.
