James Robert Johnson

Funeral Services for Mr. James Robert Johnson, Sr. will take place today at 2pm at Langley Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2559 Augusta Rd Hwy 1, Warrenville. Interment, with military honors, will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30pm until the time of the service.

Mr. Johnson, 87, of Aiken died Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A son of the late Marshall Johnson and Myrtle Sexton Johnson, he was born in Greenville, SC and had lived in Langley for over sixty years before moving to Aiken three years ago.

Mr. Johnson served his Country in the US Army during WW II. He was a retired Textile Worker at the former King Mill, Augusta, GA. He attended Langley Pentecostal Holiness Church.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two wives, Frances 2003 and Helen 1999. He is survived by his special friend and caretaker, Sarah Poole, Aiken, two sons; James R. Johnson, Jr., Summerville, SC and Larry R. Johnson, Arlington, TX. He is also survived by three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
