James "Henry" Lovette, 36, of Butler, Indiana, passed away April 18, 2025. Born in Charleston, SC, on January 19, 1989, he was the son of James and Patricia Lovette. Henry graduated from Batesburg-Leesville High School in 2009. He had a passion for the Panther football team and was a devoted fan of Clemson football. Known for his friendly nature, he never met a stranger and had a big heart. For the past eight years, he has resided in Indiana with his wife, where he worked in security.
In addition to his parents, Henry is survived by his wife, Sarah Lovette, of Butler, Indiana; sister, Hannah Lovette; special aunt and uncle who helped raise him, Betty and Gerardo Torres; grandmother, Ruby Wilson; and best friend, Quinton Whitt; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Wallace McCormick, who also had a hand in raising Henry.
The memorial service to celebrate Henry's life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, May 31st, at First Baptist Church of Batesburg, with Pastor Jud Hook Officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mrs. Patricia Lovette, 115 N. Pine Street, Batesburg, SC 29006.
