James F. Mixon

James Felder Mixon passed away on Tuesday, August 27th, 2024, at the age of 82 at his residence.

He was born on Tuesday, July 21st, 1942, in Wagner, SC a son of the late Edna Mixon.

James was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Marina Leaphart Mixon; 2 daughters, Pam Prioleau and Dawn Mixon, both of Aiken; 5 grandchildren, Chelse Butler, Tony Johnson, James Quentin Butler, Kayla & Keli Kendrick, Brianna Jones; and 7 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Dovie Tucker.

James was a dedicated employee with the Batesburg-Leesville Water Treatment Center as a Water Treatment Manager.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 2094 Columbia Hwy N, Aiken, SC 29805, with the Rev. Marion Britton officiating.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 2, 2024, from 2:00pm until 4:00pm at The Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave SW, Aiken, SC, 29801 (803) 649-6234.
