James Nevins Hallman

August 7, 1932 — September 14, 2023

James Nevins Hallman, 91, of Leesville, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023. Mr. Hallman was born in Savannah, GA, a son of the late William Miles and Annie Hallman. He was married to the late Lois Eargle Hallman. Mr. Hallman was a faithful member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He loved fishing, hunting and gardening.


Surviving are his children, Philip Adam Hallman (Wendy), Wanda Hallman Craps (Tim), Vicki Hallman Edwards (Wayne); daughter-in-law, Robin Pace; as well as his grandchildren, Greg Craps, Hannah Craps Miller; and great grandchildren, Lucas James Craps, and Jacob Neal Craps. Also surviving are his brother, Ed Hallman (Elaine). In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Gerry Neal Hallman and siblings, Pauline and Danny Hallman.


The funeral service for Mr. Hallman will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Monday, September 18th, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Pastor David Edenfield will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 3:00 until 4:00 P.M. at the church.
