Mrs. Phelps, 82, of Aiken, died Friday, December 26, 2008 at her residence.

Born in Dayton, OH, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Marie Bureschen Hickey. She move to Aiken in 1970 from St. Louis, MO and was a homemaker. Janet liked to collect candles, salt and pepper shakers.

She is survived by her husband of forty eight years, Noah Phelps and numerous cousins.
