Jeanne C. Rockwell

A memorial service for Mrs. Jeanne C. Rockwell will be held on Wednesday, May 14, at 3pm at St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church in Aiken. Interment will take place in Riverhurst Cemetery in New York State at a later date. Memorial donations may be directed to ACTS, Aiken Women's Heart Fund or Molly's Militia. Mrs. Rockwell, 84, of Aiken, died Sunday, May 11, 2008 at her residence.

Jeanne Rockwell graduated from C.S.Wilson Memorial Hospital in 1945. She was employed there as a Registered Nurse until her retirement in 1982. She was a long time resident of both Conklin and Morris, New York. She was a member of the Conklin Presbyterian Church. She moved to Aiken, South Carolina in 1994 where she has been active in the Woodside Ladies Golf Association and an avid volunteer for ACTS.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Dewey Rockwell and four siblings. She is survived by her son, Thomas Rockwell and his wife Elizabeth, Conklin, NY and her daughter, Jeanne Martin and her husband Chris, Aiken, SC and four grandchildren, Kristen Martin, West Ashley, SC, Katie Martin, Clifton, NJ, Sara Rockwell, Binghamton, NY and James Rockwell, Conklin, NY.
