Jenny Ferens

Funeral services for Mrs. Jenny "Rita" Jones Ferens are incomplete and will be announced by George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Aiken. Mrs. Ferens, 89, died Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. She was born in Yukon, PA on May 28, 1920 to the late Edward Jones and Hanna Mulkerin Jones. A resident of Aiken since 2004, Rita was a homemaker and a communicant of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Yukon, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband; Stanley "Lefty" Ferens, who died in 1994, a brother; Robert Jones and sisters; Mary McGaffic, Isabelle Wilson and Adelaide Sethman.

She is survived by a daughter, Janis John Olschon, Aiken, SC and a granddaughter, Lynn Keenan, Daniel Island, SC. Memorial donations may be directed to the St. Mary Help of Christians Church Building Fund, PO Box 438, Aiken, SC 29802.
