Jerry Richardson Koon, 72, of Leesville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2025. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Listen Clide and Amanda Caroline Koon. He was married to the late Gwen Koon. Jerry loved hunting and fishing, but nothing brought him greater joy than time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Jerry Travis Koon (Kara), Micheal Derrick Koon (Summer), and Crystal Murphy; his cherished grandchildren, Teresa A. Koon, Dallas Travis Steven Koon, Alberta “Allie” Koon, Levi Preston Koon, Brantley Derrick Koon, Rhyder Richardson Koon, Bridget Charles (Garett), and Britney Stanley; along with his great-grandchildren, Aubree and Huntley Charles. Also surviving are his brother, Nathan Koon (Pamela), and nephew, Zacharia Koon. In addition to his parents and wife, Jerry was preceded in death by his infant sisters.
In keeping with Jerry’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
