Ms. Joan Boatwright, daughter of the late Arthur and Minnie Lee Boatwright, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 at PruittHealth- Augusta Hills Nursing Center of Augusta, Georgia.
Joan was born September 17, 1953 in Lexington County and attended Batesburg-Leesville schools. She was a loving and kind person and never meet a stranger.
Surviving are her children, Duwayne Scott (Allison), Rebecca Posey (Phillip) and Leigh Anne Harris. She is also survived by brothers, Kenneth Boatwright (Joan), Lonnie Boatwright (Dee) and Jimmy Boatwright; step brothers, Denny and Verley Ray Frick; sisters-in-law, Rhonda Boatwright and Elizabeth Frick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Herman Scott of Monetta and Donald Blackstone of Augusta, GA; step mother, Murice Crapps Boatwright and step brother, Maurice Frick of Leesville.
No services are planned at this time.
The family would like to thank the staff of PruittHealth- Augusta Hills Nursing Center for the loving care shown to Ms. Boatwright.
