John Anthony Denoma, 74, of Pelion, South Carolina, passed away on June 20, 2025. Born on December 30, 1950, in Saginaw, Michigan, he was a son of the late Morley "Jack" Denoma and Evelyn Ruth Head Denoma. John proudly served his country in the United States Army for over six years, including deployments to Vietnam and Korea, where he served honorably as a field medic. Throughout his military service, John was recognized for his bravery, dedication, and skill. His commendations include the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Service Star, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea), the Combat Medical Badge, the Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm - awarded by the Republic of South Vietnam for acts of valor in combat, the Expert Badge with Automatic Rifle, the Marksmanship Badge with Rifle, and the Good Conduct Medal.

Surviving are his sisters, Kay A. Warren, Patricia E. Giancola, J. Michelle Blizzard (Richard), and Vickie L. Canada; brothers, Jeffrey "Jeff" A. Denoma and John A. Denoma (Teresa); and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary L. Kennedy, Kathryn Searles, and Majorie A. Duletzke; and brother, Bernard "Butch" Booth.

The service to celebrate John's life is forthcoming and will be announced by Milton Shealy Funeral Home.
