John William Franklin Garner

John William Franklin Garner, 49, of Leesville, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026. Born in Newberry, he was a son of the late Robert and Deborah Ann McGee Garner. John enjoyed the simple things in life, especially spending time with his family. He loved watching football with his brother, a pastime that brought him great joy and many cherished memories.

Surviving are his siblings, April Boone (Kenny) and Jason Garner (Amber); nieces and nephews, Bobbie Ann Speaks (Tay), Katarinnia Boone, Greggory Boone, and Harley Cook (Brandon); and great-nieces and great-nephews, Morgan Ann, Desmound, Brandon, Jr., and Anna Lynn.

A memorial service to honor John’s life will be held at 4 o'clock on Thursday, February 19th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, Batesburg-Leesville Chapel, with Rev. Bill Paulling officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior, beginning at 3 o'clock at the funeral home.
