Mr. Steele was born in Prosperity, SC, son of John and Margie Mills Steele, Sr. He enjoyed spending time with his nephew, Brycen Steele.
Surviving are his parents; brother, Jason Steele; and sisters, Renee Gantt and Denise Steele.
