John L. Weseman, 78,f Batesburg, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2024, at the age of 78. Born on March 23, 1946, in Juniata, Nebraska, John lived a full and vibrant life filled with love, family, and adventure.

John was a devoted husband to Darleen McCarty Weseman, with whom he shared 27 cherished years of marriage. Together, they created a nurturing home that welcomed both family and friends. John is survived by his loving children, Michael J. Weseman of Lincoln, NE, Melanie Fazzino of Juniper, FL, and Mark, Michael, and James Weseman at home. His family also includes Donna Boles, Darren Horne (Doris), and Devin Horne (Crystal) of Saluda, as well as Tarrence Miles and Logan McCormick. A proud grandfather, John leaves behind seven grandchildren: Lacie Smith, Dianelli Snapp, Daisy Sonnier, Mackenzie Weseman, Alexandra Fazzino, Dakota, Alyssa, and Coltin Horne; and eight great-grandchildren, who all adored him. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Lou Horsham (John) of Wahoo, NE.

Preceded in death by his parents, Gailord C. Weseman and Dorothy J. Weseman, John now joins them in eternal rest.

Throughout his career, John was dedicated to his work as a Project Manager, a role in which he excelled and was admired by colleagues and clients alike. Beyond his professional life, John was a man of deep faith and commitment to his community. A long-standing member of Celebration Church in Batesburg, he devoted much of his time to the children's Bible school, instilling values and sharing his faith with the younger generation.

John was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in hunting, fishing, and traveling. His keen sense of adventure and love for nature were passions he shared, particularly enjoying these moments with his family. Known as a family man, John extended his love as a foster parent for many years, offering many children a loving and supportive home.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in John's honor at 2 o'clock on Saturday, December 7th, 2024 at Celebration Church with visitation one hour prior to the service from 1 until 2 o'clock. All those who knew, respected, and loved John are welcome to attend and celebrate the remarkable life he led. Arrangements have been thoughtfully provided by Milton Shealy Funeral Home.

John L. Weseman will be remembered as a man of faith, integrity, and boundless love. His legacy lives on through those whose lives he touched, and he will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
