Joseph Albert Keenan

Funeral services for Mr. Joseph "Jody" Albert Keenan will be held on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 4pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Avenue, SW, Aiken. Interment will follow in Mt. Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill Madron, Nathan Ellison, Bob Ellison, John Henry Foster, Claude Reeves, Kenneth Evans. Mr. Keenan, 55, of Aiken, died Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at University Hospital.

Born in Aiken, he was the son of the late B.K. and Sally Keenan. He was a lifelong resident of Aiken and had worked as a pipe fitter at Fluor Daniel, Power Plant Maintenance, Cobb Construction, a division of Swan Oil, and All American Company. He was a member of Foreman Memorial Baptist Church and he loved to fish.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Jimmy Bert Keenan. He is survived by his wife, Marlesia A. Keenan, daughters, Elizabeth Keenan Owens, Judy E. Keenan, both of Aiken, brother, Kelly Jackie Keenan, New Ellenton, sisters, Betty Glover, Beech Island, Wanda Keenan, Warrenville, grandchildren, Steven Lee Owens, Victoria E. Owens, Charles Harry Keenan, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
