Joseph L. Mango, 91, of Aiken, South Carolina, passed away on December 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 6, 1934, he was a son of the late Daniel A. Mango and Mary Jane Della Croce Mango. Mr. Mango lived a life rooted in faith, service, and family. He was a devoted parishioner of St. Mary’s Help of Christians Catholic Church, where he faithfully served as an usher. He was also a member of AARP and generously gave his time as a volunteer with STAR Equestrian. An avid wood craftsman, Joseph took great pride in creating and sharing his handcrafted works. Joseph will be remembered for his dedication to his faith, his generosity in serving others, and the love he shared with his family and community.
Surviving are his loving wife, Rosemary Mango; daughters, Debbie Fenton and Linda Dikun; son, Daniel Mango; grandchildren, Martin II, Kristen (Damon), Nickolas, and Jarrett; and great-grandchildren, Keegan and Colton. In addition to his parents, Mr. Mango was preceded in death by his brothers, Francis Mango and Louis Mango, as well as his sons-in-law, Martin J. Fenton and Daniel Dikun.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with a brief memorial service to follow, on March 19th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, Aiken Chapel. A Requiem Mass celebrating his life will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Old St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church on Park Avenue, with inurnment in St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church Columbarium.
