Josie Mae Whittle

Funeral services for Mrs. Josie Mae Barton Whittle will be held Monday, September 3, 2007 at 4pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave, SW, Aiken. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Sunday, September 2, 2007 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Whittle, 62, of Aiken, died Thursday, August 30, 2007 at her residence,

Born in Aiken, she was the daughter of the late John and Sadie Stone Barton. She was a lifelong resident of Aiken. She worked for ASCO for twenty years and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Whittle is survived by her husband, Anthony Whittle, daughter, Teresa McGahee and her husband Guy, Aiken, son, Andy Crumpton and his wife Felicia, Aiken, stepson, Wade Anthony, Jr. and his wife Amy, Augusta, sister, Essilee Griffin, Windsor, grandsons, Joshua McGahee, Nathan McGahee, both of Aiken, step granddaughter Lillith Whittle, Augusta, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
