Memorial service for Mrs. Kathryn Roes Cooper Treadway will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2008 in the South Aiken Presbyterian Church. The Reverend Dr. Joe Brooks will officiate. George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Avenue, SW, Aiken is assisting the Treadway family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Regency Hospice, 105 Summerwood Way, Aiken, SC 29803 or to South Aiken Presbyterian Church, 1711 Whiskey Road, Aiken, SC 29803 in memory of Mrs. Treadway.

Mrs. Treadway, 77, of Aiken, died Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Eden Gardens Assisted Living. Born May 18, 1931 in Union, SC, she was a daughter of the late John Wylie Cooper, Jr., and the late Medora Johnson Cooper. Mrs. Treadway had a very strong faith, and was an active member of South Aiken Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir, worked with the church food programs and helped out wherever needed. Mrs. Treadway was involved with the ladies auxiliary of Aiken Regional Medical Center and had a love and passion for shopping. She also enjoyed crafts, reading, and cooking. Kathryn will be remembered as a gracious lady who loved her family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Treadway was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Rion Treadway, and a daughter, Roberta Renee Treadway.

Survivors include daughters, Kathy Treadway of Aiken, Judith Dale Gasch of Arlington, TX, and Janet Dan Williams of Manassas, VA; sister, Donna Cooper Plexico of Waynesville, NC; brother, Michael Dennis Mary Ann Cooper, Sr., of Bonifay, FL; 3 grandchildren, 3 nieces, 1 nephew, 11 great-nieces & nephews, and many friends.
