Kenneth Avery Riddle

Kenneth Avery "Roddy" Riddle, 86, of Saluda, formerly of Leesville, SC, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026, following an extended illness with his family by his side.

Born in Greenville, SC on February 11, 1940, he was a son of the late Horace and Eloise Black Riddle. Mr. Riddle was a member of Charity Community Church but in recent years attended Hollywood Baptist Church and was a former active member of the Shriners in Barnwell, SC. He had a deep love for the outdoors, especially fishing and gardening, but above all, he had a lifelong passion for flying airplanes. He took great pride in serving as a pilot instructor. In earlier years, he also owned and operated a shrimping boat during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Mr. Riddle retired in 1999 after many years of dedicated service as General Manager of McDonald Enterprises.

Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Corrie Riddle; daughter, Donna Fuller (Robbie); son, Kenneth Riddle (Amanda); five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Tommy Dale Riddle (Joye).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Leon and Randy Riddle; stepson, Travis Tindal; and his beloved dog, Kitty.

A service to celebrate Mr. Riddle’s life will be conducted at 11 o'clock, on Saturday, May 23rd at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, Batesburg-Leesville Chapel. Pastor Dan Gardner will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
