Kenney Hutto, 88, of Jackson, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2026. Born on April 14, 1938, in Aiken, South Carolina, he was a son of the late William Arnold Hutto and Pearl Marion Hutto.
Mr. Hutto was a hardworking man whose life was rooted in dedication, family, and the outdoors. A farmer by trade, he devoted more than 20 years of service to McElmurray Farms and also worked in the forestry department at the Savannah River Site. He was known for his strong work ethic and deep appreciation for simple pleasures in life. Mr. Hutto found great joy in the outdoors and especially cherished time spent coon hunting with his close friend, Ronald Chavous. Whether fishing, hunting, or simply enjoying nature, he was happiest outdoors and made many treasured memories doing the things he loved.
Surviving are his sisters, Susie H. Glazener (Richard Gary) and Catherine Rose H. Heath; brothers, Russell Hutto (Sarah) and Larry Hutto; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hutto was preceded in death by his brothers, Hermon “Buddy” Hutto, Horace Hutto, and Peter Hutto.
The graveside service to celebrate Mr. Hutto’s life will be held at 2 o’clock on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Milton Shealy Funeral Home, Aiken Chapel, is serving the Hutto family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
