Linda Joy Fairey Clark

Linda Joy Fairey Clark, 72, of Lexington, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Lexington Medical Center after a brief illness. She is now at peace and has joined her loved ones in their heavenly home. Linda was born in Orangeburg County, the youngest daughter of the late Hugh B. Fairey, Sr. and Cercie Dukes Fairey. She grew up in Branchville, SC and lived most of her life in Durham, NC. After retiring from Verizon, she moved to Orangeburg and then Lexington.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James William "Jim" Clark, and brother, HB Fairey, Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Ryan (Tammy) Myers of Lexington and Keith (Angela) Myers of Cary, NC; grandchildren, Christopher (Kodie) Myers, Brittany (Blake) Myers-Caughman from Lexington, Bradley Myers, Adam Myers and Kevin Myers from Cary, NC. Linda was also blessed with five great grandchildren: Patrick, Emory, Emma, Piper and Willow. She is also survived by her siblings, Ann (TW) Reeves of St. George, Carol Strickland Winn of Walterboro, Thomas M. Fairey of Branchville, and a sister-in-law, Ann Fairey of North.

Linda's large extended family includes, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great -great nieces and nephews and many cousins.

The family sends a special thanks to the CCU Team at Lexington Medical Center for their compassionate care and attentiveness to Linda during her hospitlization.
